I see you picked up 10 th place in the FLW Jax tournament. I bet that was some rough fishing with Hanna passing by. Ya'll did good. At least you beat Scott G and Blair Wiggins.

Thank You. We had a very tough tournament. We had been watching a school of good fish for 3 months. We went to our fish 3 weeks prior to the tournament on the same tide to see what we could do. We had 13.5 lbs in about 30 minutes with only having to catch 3 fish. We felt very good before I had to leave to go to The Cup event in Hopedale. I didn't plan on going to Jacksonville until Tuesday before the tournament, but then we had Fay. With Fay dumbing rain through out the St Johns River I decided to go early and make sure we were okay. We vistied our fish and they were there but would not eat anything. I began looking else where fishing from sun up to sun down. I was having very inconsistent success. I went back to our fish on Wed. they were still there but they would not eat. With no other consistent bite we would stick with our original game plan, but would also have a flood bite with all the high water from Fay. We knew the flood bite would also be tough, since it had been flooding for almost 3 weeks now. We arived at our low tide spot our fish were there, but would they bite. We had serveral blow ups but no hook ups and finally we hooked up. It seemed to be a good fish, pulling drag well. We got the livewell ready net out and then it was off. We never got another low tide bite that morning. We knew the rest of the day was going to be tough. We powered throught spinnerbait fishing in the grass. We had 5 bites and only 2 fish, about 8 pounds. It started to flood by now, but as we thought the flood fishing was not good. Alot of small fish and very little tails. We headed to weigh in very discouraged. We weighed in and was very suprised we were in 5th place with 8 1/2 pounds. Evently bumped to 9th place. We were still in this, we still had a chance. The 2nd day was postponed til Sat. We thought this would be great for us. We would have more low tide in the morning to get our bites. The wind clocked around west and this should mean even more low water. We arrived to our spot on day 2. the tide was not low and the water was very dirty. We waited it out waiting for the tide to fall out and to turn around and clean to water up, it never happened. We still fished our spot through low tide. We finally got hooked up, fought the fish got the livewell ready, net out and then it was gone again. Next cast hooked up again, same result spit the hooks. Time to go spinnerbait fishing again. After 3 hours and no results, we decided to just go fishing. We ended up getting 3 bites and 2 fish. One about 5 pounds and the other was barely legal. Off to weight in we go, Day 2 7lb 7 oz., total 15 lb 15 oz and 10th place. Overall it was one of the toughest tournament Blaine and I had ever had. But we did end up 4th overall for Eastern Team of the Year.

Thanks Again
