The tide was moving out at a rapid pace and so we thought it was going to be on from the get go. It wasn't. Spot #1 yielded one ladyfish.
Spot #2 produced a few nice redfish and a couple lower slot trout.

Snatch and I continued to hit up several offshore bars throwing topwater and had some good blowups, but couldn't button up any of the fish. At 11 a.m. I looked at Snatch and told him that we should've gone to Carrabelle.
As we were finishing up a drift at noon, I looked at the gps and saw a bar that I'd marked last winter and had only fished once before. It was close and so Snatch and I decided to make a drift over the bar. Snatch made a cast with the spook and had a big blowup followed by a big fish jumping completely out of the water while flipping over. We both said, "Good god!" He led her into the net and we high fived.

While he was getting his hooks out of the net, I had a hit and brought in a 19" off the bar and Snatch netted it while holding his rod and with his spook still stuck in the net.
We removed both spooks from the net and Snatch flung out another cast and had another big hit. He led it into the net perfectly and we whooped it up and gave each other some knucks.

We moved to a spot closer to the river and fished for the last thirty minutes. I picked up a red on my last cast over spotty bottom on the topwater.

It was a great day with a close friend.
