Sat:
Headed out with a friend who has fished the area for years. Change a pace from my normal pattern (usually fish North). We went South. Started in open flats and didn't take long for a 20+ to hit my redfin then find it's way to the cooler. Moved in closer and started drifts. Fished in some skinny water 2 foot or less, but because of strong East wind, was normally quickly out to 3-5 in no time. Fished several areas picking up 16-20 keeper trout and my buddy picked up 3 lower slot limit reds. Took 9 trout and 1 red home.
Sun:
Wife headed down Sat afternoon and brought two of our young dogs. Same wind conditions. Fished same pattern as Saturday, but need to keep young dogs somewhat in line, I wasn't quite as focused. Did manage to pick up a limit, but only brought home 4. Took some time out to let the dogs uncork some of their pinned up energy. They had a great time playing in the water.
Mon:
Headed out early for about a half day's trip. Stayed shallow for the majority of the time. Landed a couple 17+" by 0800 and had a chance at a limit early. Lots of top water blow ups, but had trouble hooking em (top water). Had some boils on the redfin later in the morning, but same results.
Wind was blowing early, but did lay down later in the day. Weather was great. Getting to spend some time on the water (other than one day turnarounds) was long over due.
Can't wait til next time.
Dogs enjoying the water

Older pup (about 9 months old). "Sam" on watch on the bow.

One of my favorite dog pics. Close up of Sam.

Tired puppy. Indy (little over 4 months old) taking a nap toward the end of the day.
