Wind was blowing a little around 15 mph this morning out of the north and the tide was running out pretty good so I fished the north bank. Lots of activity as everything inluding the birds were feeding on the shrimp. There were some pretty good size shrimp so I threw a DOA glow off the back of the yak with a popping cork, and never got a hit on it all morning. I cast a Pink Capt Mike 1/4 oz spoon and nare a bite on it either. But the lime green Skitterwalk got lots of attention. Picked up five reds up to 21" and one 17" trout. I got to site cast to all of the reds feeding on the banks and casting to their backs. I was amazed at how close I had to cast to them to entice the bite. Most fish would have been spooked at the proximity, but these were feeding and were a lot more careless. They were going after the BIG meal. Water was less than 12" for all but the Trout.
