Fishing was great this past Sunday and Monday. Overcast Sunday but fish were everywhere. Lots of shorts and some nice upper slot keeper trout. Fished from around noon to five. Monday went out on low tide and bumped a rock near the mouth. Fishing was good again, not as many but good ones. Limited out from around lunch to four o'clock.
There was two guys fishing close to us and they caught something big. Lots of yelling and High fiveing. Don't know what it was but i could see the fish from our boat over hundred yards away. And it was busting the water and looked huge in the net.
the two guys hootin and hollerin were probably two friends of a friend that was telling me about them catching a 39 inch red on monday afternoon. we are headed down this weekend. hopefully the fish will still bite with the almost total LACK of tide.
I'm in Sat and Sun....get to take my oldest Mark and grandson John-Ross on their annual fall trip to Anky. We had to wait
this year until John-Ross finished his JV football schedule. Should be a fun weekend for sure!
