Hickory Mounds 11-9-08

Went out to Hickory this morning to fish the incoming. I ended up with 7 or 8 reds all caught near or outside the creek mouths. Only one under slot and my largest was 24. I also lost a VERY nice largemouth who blew up a yellow He-Dog that broke off on a oyster bar. Very suprised to see a largemouth in that type of water. It put up a good fight and won, I guess.

All the reds were caught on either a jerk shad, topwater or spoon.

Since the He-Dog was gone, I tried the She-Dog

This guy bit the crap out of me, but maybe I deserved it since I disturbed his lunch.

Nice trip. The Bass won...!
Glad to see so many folks doing the HM.
I haven't been in a while but enjoyed intoducing the place to Suber some years ago.
We both did well and he let me fish a sit-on for the first time that day.
Great place. Evidently it's time to get back.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.
