I had the perfect day!!!!!

I was on fire, I didn't miss a fish all day! Started out the day kinda late, so I figured I would give Ole Ickneefina a try since I haven't been out there in a while. The water was smooth as glass when I put in, around 10'ish, so I told myself that I would just head east until I found some clear water and start reelin'em in. That was where things started to go wrong! As soon as I cleared the mouth and pointed her east, the motor started sputterin. Well being the genious that I am, there was only one logical thing to do, Toe-nail'er to the floor and hope that I make it back.
After runnin to within 6 or 7 miles of keaton and still no sign of the water clearin up, I started thinking that it would be less than ideal to get caught way over here if it starts to get rough. At that point I just cut a big U-turn and started headin back. I made it back to rock island and decided it was time to fish, since I had already killed over an hour and a half a tank of gas.
Well to make a long story short, the reason that I didn't miss a fish all day was on account of me not actually having a bite all day. I think that this is the first time I have had a "perfect skunk" and hopefully it will be the last.
Anyhow, the boat made it back in with no more sputterin, and so I guess "nothing lost nothing gained" will be my motto for the rest of the day.

P.S. If any of you feel sorry for me and want to give me a few pointers, I'm all ears
