Like a report on Stienhatchee

Post by Tennessee »

Went a few years back about this time of the year, stayed at River Haven and had a great time. Caught lots of fish, they cleaned the catch and even cooked it up at the end of day. Thinking of going 26th-31st, and any help would be appreciated. I hope they still have the resturant at the Marina, one reason I am choosing this area. Really just want to dump boat at Marina, drop the trailer off the truck, fish and relax. Anybody have a report on that area here lately, or know anyone that has been lately, or know a website to get report. Any help would be appreciated, thanks Phillip.

I read a report today from Captain Pat Mcgriff over at Keaton Beach, he wrote like it is really slow there. He said the fish might be in the mouths of creeks with the cold weather or up in the creeks. If I were going to Steinhatchie I'd try Dallus Creek to the right of the river. This time of year fish like to bunch up in the deeper holes there. Good luck.

Thanks, for the info. If the fishing is not good there I may go somewhere else. I have two weeks to get ready. The other place I was thinking about is Shell Island fish camp, St. Marks river.
