Carrabelle one week ago

Post by Barhopr »

After hounding ced4020 about taking a ride in his new Beavertail, we finally put a date on the calender to give Carrabelle a try. Supafly met us in Carrabelle and we hit the water at the Gentlemanly hour of 10am. We ran East for a while trying spots here and there. Not a lot activity on the flats so we played run and gun 'til we found some life. We took turns on the bow with Supa up first.

After a few missed shots he stuck a nice one right at the boat and the skunk was off. Ced was up next. He plucked a Red right out of the grass within about 20 feet of the boat. Unfortunately, although it was a nice Red, the skunk was back on the boat. The Red had some funky looking growths on its head and big patches of missing scales.

I got up on the bow and missed several shots at some nice ones. Seemed the old gold digger toad scared the crap out of the reds over there. We headed in at a reasonable hour, knocking back a few beers on the way in. Was a nice trip with two good guys and a very nice boat. It was a pleasure meeting you guys and next time is on me.

Sounds like you guys had fun. That red looks like he lives a little too close to a nuclear turbine somewhere!

Sounds like it was a fun day guys! Were you catching those fish over sand? Or were they in the grass?
