Blind Hog stumbles up on an acron today at Burnt Mill Creek

Post by KyTrkyHntr »

We arrived in Panama City Beach last night around 10pm and I was beat from driving. Didn't feel like rigging all my rods up so I slept in a little and rigged up this morning. Headed to Burnt Mill Creek and launched the yak at noon. Didn't have a lot of time to spend on the water as the wifey wanted to hit Pier Park later today. I headed out searching for some activity, but mainly paddled around in cold water for most of my trip. The wind was picking up pretty good so I decided to head to the opposite shoreline and fish with the drift sock out and ride the wind in and let it do the work for me. When I made it over the water was much warmer and there was a nice channel there too. I tossed out a pearl white Glup Shad and this guy slammed it before it hit bottom. I guess I tossed it right on his nose.....

Here's another shot of him.....

I caught another "mini-me" red with about 10 spots on him and that was it!

At least I know where to go next time out! Hog will report tomorrow if I have any more luck! Hog out!
