Cold Water Creek Fishing 01-16

Post by Talltails »

I, like Walt, had a rediculous urge to go fishing today. I was able to slip out for a couple hours in the midmorning hours. A cold wind was blowing and the water temps were in the upper 40's. I was able to catch several reds of various size. A few peanuts and a few up to about 20 -22 inches. Didn't stick around too long, but still had a good time. And BTW, that really is a halo around my head in the second pic. I have been self annointed :smt059

Nice Halo! Who knew?! Did someone take those pics for you? Or do you have some special rig? That water looks shallower than I would've thought they'd be in... good job!

TT, I'm curious to know if you're going to put on your halo and go out and try it today. I few years ago I would've tried it, but now I think I'll fish vicariously through someone one else's report!

Nice trip TT. I thought I saw a yakker walking on the water out there. The halo explains everything.

Nice work, you and Walt. Appreciate you guys doing the survey for us.
Guess it's too cold to catch much more until Spring warms things back up.
Actually listening to what other people say is worth the effort.
