Launched at the lighthouse about 9 this morning. The water was low. Headed east with the intent of fishing a couple of creeks that have produced during cold weather. Couldn't get there. Eased out to deeper water and ran further east to a nice flats area. Saw lots of reds on this flat. Cast past the fish. Work the bait back slow. Drag the bait up to the fish's head. The fish turns and swims off. This happened several times. Guess that's what ya get in 40 degree water.
The tide chart wasn't close today. The low was supposed to be at 1.1'. It never got that high all day.
FYI: An unbreakable Minn Kota trolling motor shaft is breakable.
i broke mine you either send it to them and they fix it with a huge turn around time or you find a local guy and they give you the shaft and charge for labor ~$80
I had the same luck with the Bass John but not the trolling motor
