Spring Warrior Jan 23, 2009

Post by Fisherman989 »

Some friends of mine went to Spring Warrior today....fished about 5 hours...caught 3 just legal size trout. Last time they went the 2 of them got their limit there. This was about 2 weeks ago. Coming home, in Perry, he got a speeding ticket for doing 45 mph in a 35 mph zone....costing him $176.00.

$176 for 45 in a 35 is unreasonable. Something like that could affect the way one might spend money in Perry when passing through there. I usually will spend $50- $75 at the Winn Dixie, 10-$15 at an eating joint and another $50 or so at Wilsons. If indeed that speeding ticket cost that much, I'd probably spend my money in a town that wants to make it the honest way. It can be a bad thing for a town to get the reputation as a speed trap. Pardon my my rant. Glad your friends caught 3 keepers FM989. Save the back bones and you have a fish fry.

I got one the other night on Capital Circle NE for my window tint. The trooper pulled me for going 39 in a 45  He said that when someone is driving like that, it looks suspicious. However, I sped up, signaled to get over in front of him, turned right and then he pulled me. Said he couldn't see me through the film to compare the image on his screen, so he pulled me to verify. $98.00 :( That's all I got to say about that...........

Was it a trooper or a city cop? If they were coming into Perry on Puckett Road from Spring Warrior the slow zone there is 30 not 35. They watch that stretch pretty closely.

10-4 to Puckett Road. They do watch it closely, and rightly so, it is very narrow. Problem is, when you hit Puckett road you are almost there and the excitment is building. I'm getting excited just thinking about it..

I'm glad they caught some fish but the ticket deal sucks.
