Econfina 2-9-09

Post by dolphinatic »

After a disappointing showing this past Saturday for the tourney, I decided to try to redeem myself by going to Econfina like I wanted on Saturday. I met my buddy Raymond at 8:00am and arrived at the river around 9:30am after a quick stop off at JR's. Surprise, surprise, it was REALLY LOW

We putted on out bumping a rock here and there until we reached the last bend. We took a new friend out for his first trip on the water also.....

We fished a few different spots but only managed a few keeper trout...thrown back of course :x We tried to get out of the mouth, but it was so low, we decided to stay in the river due to lack of time before having to be back to get the kids. We ended up finding a few reds in the slot and even a few nice trout. Released all fish today. Water temp was 55. "Droopy" had a fun first fishing day and got to see a few of these.....

Not the best day, but it still beat work

Wow...that's a lot of water for the Anky this time of year!

I'm not surprised you bumped a few! Great pics!

Not yet....taking it to Porter's this week. He "gets er done" everytime  We took a friend's boat out yesterday to run it a bit and only ended up putting around. Still a good day though......

Hey, that's alright. I thought there might still be fish in the river. Mighty low water.
