Flint shoal bass

Post by GAJOEY »

Headed out to the flint after a  disapointing trip to the Turkeyrama in Perry Ga.At 4:30 We put in at Cox landing in Albany ran about 15 miles north and started fishing. We have 2 Adults my 13 year old and my 8 year old in a 16 ft basstracker it is a little cramped to say the least. We fish hard for a hour or so and nothing. All of the sudden I hook a 4.5 lb shaol bass get her in the boat look over and kyle my 8 year old is hung on some rocks his zebco 202 is bent and I can hear the rod cracking..then it moves in a circle and I realize he has a good fish on.Well he handles the rod like a pro gets a 3 pounder in the boat by his self ..i did not help even tho I wanted to .then it is me again I catch 4 more decent fish back to back and it stops..nothing.... But I am not complaining at all... to see Kyle handle the fish like he did was all I needed to see for the day.he caught his on a white and red beetle spin.I caught all of mine on a broken back rebel. got back in at 7:30 ..I won't even mention the steering locking up when we launched the boat   . it was like it did not even happen after Kyle caught his fish....it really don't get any better. :D
