Econfina 3-4-09 **QUICK TRIP**

Post by dolphinatic »

Had 2 boats to do today and my buddy Raymond wanting to go fishing. So, the plan was the leave at 5:30am, fish, then work. Got down to Econfina at 7:00am and it was FREEZING :cold We ran out to a quick creek where we found trout last week. 25 minutes later, we had our 2 man limit  We stayed in this spot till 10:00am catching and releasing over 50 keeper size trout with a handful over 20" :o Most were in the 15"-18" range. The trout bit jigs fished slooooooooowwwwww along the bottom. Water temp was 47.5 when we got there and 58 when we left. Not much water movement this morning but the fish still bit well. No reds.....didn't even see one

Still got all my work done and even got paid     Nice day both on and off the water.....

No pics 'cause it was too dang cold to fool with a camera.

Can't wait till this weekend :D

Got in some fishing, some working and some money!! You can't beat that with a big stick.

I just spent 20 minutes typing you a PM and lost it some how. The short version is "What do you do to a boat?" Check my posts and pic under "what's your rig" to see if I could maybe use your services to get me ready to fish. I enjoy reading your post. Thanks.

RHTFISH....the creek was to the east where the trees and oyster beds are.....and it's really skinny in there right now

A little bird also told me there was a few trout left in the river if you know where to look
