Does anyone have a 75-90 horse Mercury motor for parts?
A buddy needs the throttle rod control link that goes from the carb. throttle to the flywheel timing arm.
It is a metal rod about 4-5 inches long with a 90 degree bend in both ends.
He has a new one on order, won't be here for 10 days. He wants to fish really bad before then.
Can anyone help out?

Tried that.
Apparently the rod is milled to unreasonable specs. Without the exact diameter nothing else works.

Duct tape & bailing , works every time.

Get something slightly to big and put it in a drill, wrap some medium or fine sand paper around the other end and reduce the diameter to what ya need

Give Porter a call....perhaps Sunshine, etc.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
