Drop Shot Rig?
Has anyone tried this technique for trout and/or redfish? It seems like it would work well if the conditions were right.

I've seen a few people use a set up like that. I don't know why it wouldn't work. Try it and let us know.

I use it all the time. Especially once I find a school of fish. I've had great success with that rig in as little as two feet of water. The bait stays in one place rather than constantly moving forward and that gives the fish a little different look and sometimes that’s all it takes. Keep in mind that it's not a search bait, use it when you come across a school. I call it the fish extractor... ![:-D](./images/smilies/003.gif)

Thanks... I learn something new everyday.

It works great in deeper water. I like to use it in 5+ feet and deeper.
