FSU Program for Disabled Vets on PBS 1 April

Post by Derfish »

Tomorrow (April 1), PBS stations all over the state of Florida will be airing a 2 part special on the challenges facing our veterans. The first, to be aired from 8:00pm - 8:30pm, is titled Coming Home: Military families coping with change. This show features Sesame Street workshop about soldiers returning home and how families cope with change. This special tells stories of service members who return home with injuries, visible and invisible, and explores the heroic struggles their families face in discovering a new way of finding a new normal. Additionally, the program features coping strategies and powerful real stories to help these families and others find ways to be there for each other.

The second show, titled After the parades are over will be aired from 8:30pm-9:00pm. This show, also to be aired statewide, will focus on opportunities for Florida Veterans and will include the Jim Moran Institute's Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities program. Please help support JMI's EBV by tuning in and pass on this information to friends.
