Hatchee 4/3 and 4/4

Post by 4C's »

Thursday...South Georgia flooding, schools ands roads closed. Weather looked good for Hatch on Fri and better for Sat. Loaded the the boat and my son and friend for crew. Go when you can. Fished south on Fri lots of wind but fishable, few boats, several mackeral, and short trout, few keepers to 18.5, in 4 ft. give or take, Sat fished south again, the Armada was there, more wind than expected until mid morning then not enough (radio banter said off shore was bad), better trout bite ( 3-6 ft) but still mnany shorts and few keepers, no mackeral. Beat the maddness at the ramp, out at two, more fish than Fri. but smaller. Talked to good friend who fished grass line in gheenoe ( 2 ft. and less), limit of trout, 15 to 16, and a 26.5 red, within sight of rhe markers.Talked to some that did better than we did and others who did less Good weather, lots of fun, no major problems, water was stained in places and clear in others but in pretty good shape considering. Will be back next Thurs - Sat.
