Easter sunday at Keaton.
Left the house at 5:30 Bob the builder, my son, my beautiful wife, and myself headed to keaton. Go to stop at the 1st stop sign and kerthunk!!" What was that? I said. Got out to check and I had the 1 7/8" ball on the 2" coupler.
Swapped that out and was on the way. Got on the water about 8:00 hailed Loanshark on the radio and he said the fish were biting at Spring Warrior so we headed that way. Well it was windy and cold so we only made it just past Addams and started fishing. The water was between 64-67 all day. It never really laid down till about 3:00. Water was clear most everywhere. We caught all of our fish from 5-6'. In 3' we only caught seabass shorts. Wound up with 8 keepers. My 8 yr old son caught a 20" all by himself. (his largest to date) The rest were 18-20 exept 2 at 15" Anything with pink got hits. We cught many shorts and seabass. I saw tons of spanish but they would follow the bait and not hit.
Threw a spoon at them every time but no hits. Had a great day with the family.
