St Marks 4/18

Post by GoneFishin »

Put in around daylight w/ only a couple boats beating us out, strong east wind made fast drifts..fish were spotty when we found good grass we found fish... we fished just west of stoney in 5-7 ft where stayed pretty much all morning..wind seemed to die down alot around 1030 or so and fish started to turn on.. we left around noon cause our cap had plans, but great day on the water ended with 9 keepers, no big boys, only up to 17, but they sure did eat good tonight!! caught 40 or so all on gulp, majority of fish prefered penny under CT...had a blast as always!! we'll try it again tomorrow!

Thanks for the report, GF. Break a line tomorrow!
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

well done. we were down saturday and headed out to st. mark's reef about the time the wind layed thinking the slack tide would slow the inshore down. we caught some undersized grouper and some grunts. good job on sticking with them.
