Short report because nothing really good to report. Fished the morning and caught a few trout, only two being legal. No reds. Water was really low in the morning and we kept spooking the reds as we approached them. Water was the color of iced tea (still).

Caught my first sail cat on a super spook. :smt011 Caught my first snot cat on a catch 2000 mirrolure. :bang_1 I'm not sure how to explain those two catches, but I was shocked to say the least. I have heard of people doing this, but I can honestly say that of the thousands of casts using topwater plugs and hard jerk baits over the years this was a first for me. Maybe this forum has put some kind of catfish hex on me. :smt102

Every so often a big school of jacks would swim down the flats. It's fun to watch them fight over a topwater plug. Even more fun to catch one.

Hope next weekend will be more productive.

A few fish is always good. Snot cats are a pain no matter the lure.
