Sale

Post by FlatCrazy »

Just ran across this sale on U.S. Reels. I have never fished one, no idea as to their quality, just posting this in case anyone was interested.

These are great reels. I just orderd the 180sx and the 230sx. I use a 230 xl now and love it. I usually use it over my new 3000 stradic. It has a great drag system.
For the price just try one, bet you love it....

The U.S. Reel Supercasters were designed un USA, but made in China. The lineup goes, low-end to high-end, X, XL, SX, G3, and Pro. The SX Series was their top-of-the line flagship model just a year or so ago; before they released the G3 and Pro series reels. U.S. Reel was rumored to have a promotional this year where you buy the reel at $10 off and get a free rod. I talked to U.S. Reel and they said they were slow to release their rods for undisclosed reasons. I think I'll get one for $59. Thanks for sharing FC!

I ordered a couple on the 14th and got them today. I've used nothing but Shimano Stradics for the last 5 years, but with two 3 year olds and a 7 year old, I don't want them dropping a $200 combo in the drink.

Seem to be put together well. The reel handles just like the stradics. The drag seems smooth as silk. Just sent off the paperwork for the free rods. A rod and reel combo for $59 is hard to beat.

I heard that at that price point, the rebate and free rod will not apply. I sent mine in anyway and we'll see.

I bought the 180sx and the 230sx and just got them in today. I wanted to try them out so I rigged up the 180sx with 20lb braded line and went out to the farm pond. I landed two 4 pound bass and a bunch of small ones. The drag is very good on this reel. It is quite smooth to reel. I did notice from the first cast a slight noise, almost sounds like gears roaring. Over all a good deal for the price. I am going back tomorrow to try to catch some bigger, and push the little ultra light to the max. If I break it I will let you know.

I hope that they will honor the rebate and rod. I am going to send my paper work in on Tuesday, but could some one let me know if they get there rebate or rod.
