Successful 2009 TAKF

Post by Greenbone »

Captains, Crews, and Families -

Thanks to all for making Take a Kid Fishing 2009 a great success! Once again, every boat did a great job of bring smiles and memories to every child on the boats. The fish tales will go on for months to come and we heard a few of them at the pavillion - "I got the first fish; I got the biggest fish; yeah, but I got to drive the boat!!!" Every one had a memory to take home.

We put 29 nchildren on 19 boats. Captains, thank you again for your time and the use of your boat to provide such a memorable time for these kids.

Here's a special thanks to North Florida Gulf Fishing Club; BigBendFishing.net; Marty Spears and Flowers Bakery; Bobby and Deborah Brown and Wing Stop; PBS&J; City of St. Marks; Shields Marina; and captains, crews, and all their families. Last, but not least, a special thanks to Bud Halbert for his assistance.

Please send all pictures to Bo Gideon at catwrench55@yahoo.com who is our contact at the children's home.

Don
It was a great day and an unforgettable one for all the children. Your volunteers and captains need to realize what an incredible impact they have had on the lives of these children.

I pray that each will realize the blessing that they have been to our kids. Thank you for investing so much of your time and efforts in this special event.

Sincerely,
