very sad for anyone to have their time outside limited so quickly.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

He may be crazy as a loon but I admire his moxy. I bet he still tapes a show in a wheelchair trying to stalk caribou with a longbow.
Even a Blind Hog finds an acorn now 'n then...

This is a sad day in the life of outdoor sports and sportfishing... This man has brought years of knowledge and insight, along with many laughs and gasps of holy $&*%^'s.

Suffering from a spinal stroke is definitely something nobody would've expected, especially to a person such as Tred.

Best wishes and prayers to him and the family. :/
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

As Plow said on another Forum,
"In his honor I’m going to kill some nutria this weekend with a bicycle pump and a box of decorative upholstery tacks."

Speedy recovery Tred!

If there was ever a case where spirit and fight got someone through an illness, this would be it. Rest assured he will do this like everything else...the "BARTA WAY."

That is horrible. Hope he gets back on the water eventually. I am a fan of both his show and his written pieces in SFM.
