Cattle-LAC II

Post by Natureboy »

I gave up flats and river fishing several years ago when I got the blue water bug. My boat the Cattle-LAC stays docked in Pensacola, Fl and we use it on a very regular basis. It is hard to fish the flats with a 35 ft Donzi ZFC so I started wanting a good river/flats boat a few months ago and fought the urge. But I decided that since the cows were healthy and fat and gins were running strong I needed a new toy. Watch out Ecky! I'll call her Cattle-LAC II  I'll keep the Donzi in deeper water and use this one for terrorizing the flats and chasing down punks on jet ski's on Eufaula. I know some of ya boys hate air boats.......don't knock it til you tried it.

looks like capable flounder gigger to me. Is it custom or does come from a manufacturer?

Congrats on #2.

It has been "tweaked" Showboat. Rigsby Boats built it for me. Had to drive to Texas to pick it up. It was tempting crossing them swamps in Louisianna and not stopping. Gonna have to find a connection at the airport to cut me a deal on airplane gas. :P

It's not the air boats that we dislike, It's the operators with lack of respect for fisherman. Me and Trouttrent had one run 40 yards from us between the boat and shore and spooked a huge school of redfish  down at Keaton Beach this year. But I must say thats one fine Fan boat.

Perhaps you should dock this one down near Steinhatchee or Cedar Key. Lots of good stuff to run in and out of there.

Do you have to have "full flaps" when you come into the dock?
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Hmm. I am one of those guys. Go ahead and chase me down. (If you can) I hope you like wet clothes.....LOL
There is a Bass fisherman on Lake Seminole that is still drying out his clothes because he would not slow down going by us in a narrow canal. I still remember the look on his face...priceless

Nice rig!
