decal removal---Tom Wheeler....help

Post by k8show »

Trying to get the boat seaworthy for tomorrow morning. How in the heck do I get the Jaw-gin registration #'s off of the starboard side without damaging the paint?

Thanks in advance.

I dont know about the boat, but every year I take decals off my duck gun with WD-40. Works like a champ. I just peel the sticker off and take the "stickie" off with the WD-40. Soak it, let it sit for a second and wipe off.

That will work......I removed all the decals and stripes a few years back with a "hopped up" version of a hair dryer that I borrowed from a sign shop. Works great

Sorry for the delay  I use a heat gun with an old credit card or plastic razor blade. The trick is to do one number at a time and get the entire number hot and peel from one corner. Sometimes a fingernail works the best. Remove the left over adhesive with M-1 remover found at Eppe's Hardware

Feel free to call me if you need any further assistance
