No Tide graph displayed
I have a Garmin GPS model 152. I would say it's probably 4 or 5 years old and has never given me any problems. This past Saturday I went through the menu to the tide page to check where the low tide was. Everything looked the same except no graph line was displayed. I switched station locations a couple of times and although the unit told me it was "working", no information was returned. All other functions (that I'm aware of ) are working properly, satellite accquision, nav info, etc. From reading through the manual, the only reference to a possible issue was related to downloading info and loosing the tide graph as a result. I have never downloaded anything, in fact don't own any cables that would allow it. I've been on hold with Garmin for several minutes (estimated 30 from recording) to ask them if they have any input before I consider sending the unit to them for a fixed repair at $79. That will also include any new software applicable to the unit. Was wondering if anyone had had a similar issue? Thanks

A software update will probably solve your problem. There is an update, dated December, 2007, available from Garmin, free for the downloading. I have a cable.

What was I supposed to do today?

I have dealt with Garmin via email a couple of times and they have been very helpful and prompt with their email response. That helps to eliminate those hold times until you have to have a real-time conversation.
