Birddog and Goliath

Post by Chalk »

Birddog waged war with a 28.5" 8 lb trout this morning - report and pictures to follow. The fish was released and told that she needed to bite again at the Big Bend Classic :-D

Since this about BD,I'll use my favorite BD quote, "Pics or it didn't happen".
I'd probably beleive it anyway.

Caught her as she was working a big school of bait (whitebait and mullet) on a skitterwalk. 3rd cast I made this a.m. around 8:00. As Chalk said she was 28.5" long and weighed 8 lbs. on the boga. We snapped the pics quickly and she cut the sheet outta my hand as she swam away. Maybe she'll weigh 9 lbs. in 2 weeks.
