WAM Hole Sat. 13th with New Battery

Post by What a mess »

The boat cranks the electronics work 1st time all the time woo hoo!!!

Rolled out with my son in law & his good friend at 6:00 A.M.

Eased down the way looks really cool on the ride.

Got out tried for the Reds as the tide was dropping and they have been easy, no Red love so off to Trout land.

We ran through the usual suspects Trout, Blacks, Ladies, Sharks, & Cats.

There were Tarpon blowing up around us but no Tarpon love.

We caught about 70 fish of course very few were keepers but the action was non stop.

Two Trout and a mess of Blacks, some were very large for inshore.

There was some storm action brewing late in the day so we got closer to the camp.

It was to rough looking so after a short effort we put it on the trailer and cleaned up our little mess.

Did about as well as any one we saw and never got a drop on us till we went to get in the truck.

Got some great Bar b que at Ken's in Madison Fla. The 1st timer did catch 1 or 2 and a couple of Sharks, SIL did real good.

I was just happy to keep the action steady I never could get them really dialed in no real concentration very scattered.

WAM out salute3

Sounds like an action packed day. Wonder if the bigger females have something else in mind besides food. Everyone of those I cleaned last Thursday/Friday were plum full with eggs. Anyone knows when do trout spawn? Do they stay inshore or go offshore like flounder?

They were supposed to spawn on the full moon that just passed I thought.
