Almost nothing at St. Marks. A buddy went and found 3. I hear St. Joe Bay is weak as well. There are scallops there, but they're small and you have to work hard for them.

Don't waste your time at econfina the scallops have been feeding off the wild pig herd that might have corlera and died floting on the flats

See yesterday's post "St. Marks Thu and Fri" for reports of large bull sharks in St. Marks scallop area. :-?

I dropped by the ramp at St Marks today.. Not fishing just riding home from an appointment.
Talked to four boats of scallopers... all had a tough time finding any Scallops.
one guy had about 1/4 of a 5 gallon bucket after several hours out there....

Talked to another buddy that went to Keaton and loaded the boat.

I was amazed at the lack of people I saw on the water Saturday. Please don't take that as complaining, fewer people at the ramp means fewer shootings.

We scouted in the water for around 30 minutes and saw one scallop on Sunday.

We went out of the river sunday morning no scallopers in sight. On the way in around 1:30 you couldnt find a spot to park on the flat in front of the light house. One boat was diving a little further west of the light house. possibly to get away from the crowd or he had found something.

THE SCALLOPS ARE IN 10 TO 12FT AT ST MARKS SOUTH OF GRAY MARE. AS GOOD AS LAST YEAR, BUT DEEPER. AT $5.99 PER POUND FROM SOUTHERN SEAFOOD NOT SURE ITS WORTH THE TROUBLE, UNLESS YOU JUST LIKE TO SWIM WITH THE BULLS. LESS TRAFFIC, MORE FISH.
