We took advantage of some great conditions on the 4th to get offshore. We left the dock about 6:30am and headed to DI Reef to load up on some fresh live bait, with Dan, Brianna, Chris and Kendall on board. After 2 short drifts, we had some great pinfish swimming in the livewell and we headed due South.

We stopped to take a look at some numbers in 55-60ft to see if there were any Gags home. After 10 minutes with no luck we headed out to deeper water. Stopped by V-Tower to let Dan & Chris do some "free-diving" since we were the only ones there. They are both excellent divers and we soon had a couple of nice AJ's in the 25lb class in the box as well as several nice mangrove snappers.
Continued on to an area that was holding decent fish during the BBSC. After two stops with only minimal action, we anchored up a third time and hit pay dirt, limiting out on the Red Grouper and adding a few Red Snapper to the box. Brianna had the hot hand as she caught both the largest Grouper and the biggest Red Snapper.

Dan also caught a King in the 15lb class, on a grouper rig!
We decided to head back in and stopped off at Bryson Reef so Dan & Chris could "roll off" and check out one of the wrecks. They were able to get 1 more AJ and several more Mangos. It was my first experience with free divers and I must say I was impressed with their skill and ability!
We made it back to the dock by 2:30 and were able to offload, clean up and get ready for the fireworks.
Water temp was about 86 and visibility was good. Seas were great and had no storms to deal with! Bait was live pinfish for the grouper and cut bait or squid for the Snappers. Cuda"B" ran great and had another slimely dock.

- That's the way to celebrate!
