Aucilla 7/11

Post by BrogensDuck »

Went out early with IMASHOOTER to find dark skies and heavier winds than expected, but not bad. First cast, topwater trout. Usual bad omen. Drifted around for quite a while picking up several shorts and several ladies. Decided to chase reds and did so when the clouds were still out and the tide still moving. Picked up 1 nice red and a flounder...here starts the rest of the story. After the sun popped out we decided to give the flats another rip. Calm, bright, good water and good spotty bottom. We made several drifts across the same general area and finished the day with 7 different species: redfish, flounder, BIG bluefish, jack, many trout, sea bass and a 16" or so flats grouper. Packed it in as the rain clouds moved out. Interesting bag...great day.

Sounds like a good day on the water to me
