The Decatur House on 27 South for lunch is good. For Dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and you want cat fish and some sea food Whitneys Too also on 27 South is good, but the service is lacking the times I have been. Thursday, Friday and Saturday you must go to the Pond House out Spring Creek Rd. Order the smoked pork chops, guarantee you won’t be sorry. They don’t serve alcohol but you can bring your own. The Mexican Restaurant next to the Jamason Inn is ok. There are a few more places, but The Pond House is what I would recommend. If you need help finding it let me know.

You are pretty much out of luck. If you like pizza, there is a good place on Shotwell Street (beside Winn Dixie) called American Pie. They also have lasagna and calzones and other stuff. If you make it on the weekend, definitely the Pond House. The pork chops are great but their ribeye is the best I've ever had. It will cover your plate and add a sweet potato and I promise you will write home about it!! Other than that, the mexican joints are pretty decent and Decatur House is definitely good for lunch.

Good luck!

Laredo Grill - damn good mexican and cold beer, next to Jameson Inn on 27
Pond House - good food, family run - good people, off Spring Creek Road
Paces Fish Camp - next to Spring Creek - good catfish and quail

Go on down to Big Jims. There Steaks and Fried Shrimp are good.
No matter what, it's a good day.

Reservations at Casa de Barhopr are not required but recommended.

Seriously, The best pizza is American Pie. The best Seafood is Riverside seafood( I think thats the name) in the K-mart shopping center next to Harveys. Best(only) BBQ is Boyds on Calhoun Street. the best steaks and smoked pork chops, that will make you move to Bainbridge, is the Pond House out on 253 South. Big Jims oysterbar at the lake is the best for having a few beers and some deep fried foods but it is a pretty good ways out of town.

For got about Carters. Good food not really a place I would recommend for someone for out of town to go sit down and eat though.
