Fished on a small pong this after noon with my brother in law. Caught a few small fish here and there then tried throwing a top water chug bug. Caught a 2 lb first then a 9lb hog hit.. Drug the boat nearly clear across the pond before landing it.
I come from a small drinking community with a fishing problem
CHUG BUG is great!!!!!!! Something about that sound and action dem ole fishes cannot stand....although I do get more hits when it's sitting still!
Great fish!
BRING BACK THE PENGUIN!
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
I don't know if its just me, but i feel like the bigger they get, the lesser the fight. I feel like they try to just go in deep water instead of shaking the lure off with every bit of strength they have in them like the little ones do. I went fishing in my grandma's backyard in S Fla and caught some peacock bass. Those guys fight like heck! I also caught a 10lb largemouth in the same pond Makes me wish they had wet retention ponds stocked with bass up here.
