Ya'll missed a dang good party

The 2009 NFGFC party was a huge success.

The food was great. The prizes were outstanding
The members and guest all had a good time.

The rainy weather broke up 30 minutes before the party started and stayed clear until the party was over.
Everyone feasted on oysters on the half shell. They were some of the best tasting oysters of the year.
A huge mound of peel and eat steamed shrimp.
A very large platter of fried chicken tenders was devoured.
A couple hundred LINDYS CHICKEN at Lake Jackson hot wings did not last long at all.
Tommy Thompson brought a big pan of delicious home-made baked beans.
The kids (and some adults) chowed down on steamed hotdogs and roasted marshmallows.
Draw your own draft beer along with lots of bottled water and soft drinks were there for the taking.

Thanks to all who braved the weather early in the evening to come out for the event, to all of our sponsors who donated the large collection of prizes we gave away and also to Johny at Shuckers and his staff who did a great job hosting and feeding us.

The Stinson family had a great time, swapped a LOT of fish stories, and met some really great folks. Andrew is still in bed, sleeping with his Jr. Angler of the Year plaque and new rod combo. Both of us are looking forward to a great tournament trail next year.

Thanks Cranfield...I think? Yep, I am still kicking and now work for myself instead of and engineering firm. So I have had enough time available to get back involved with the NFGFC and fish the tournaments again. Andrew is definitely a force to be reckonned with when he gets motivated to fish. Keeping the motivation up is his downfall. When he gets bored, I have to beat him off the food cooler with the boat paddle.

Give me a holler next time you get on this side of the big pond.
