Stren Magibraid report
I'm not ready to pull it off and throw it away yet but one more trip might do the job.
I was using the 14 pound test and got two knots during the days fishing. One was 20-30 feet from the end of the line, I cut it out and retied and had another knot 10-15 feet up shortly thereafter. I may have had the spool overfilled. I definitely think I should have bought heavier line.

Sorry Ken, I should have been a bit clearer.
When lure fishing for northern pike , or sea fish, I use 30lb PowerPro, as I am throwing larger lures, often with wire traces.
Hoewever, perch fishing requires more finesse.
I am using a lighter rod, small very light lures like, mepps spoons , etc. and a 5lb bs flurocarbon trace.
I assumed this fishing was similar, to that which you were using the 14lb test for.
Hence my comment.

I,m not sure than small diameter lines of any sort, contribute to wind knots.
Being a regular user of low diameter mono reel line, from 2lb to 10lb bs I don,t experience wind knots.
I think it is more to do with casting action and conditions (wind).
Its important to balance the object being cast, with the tackle being used.
Frequently, the tackle is too heavy for the lure, causing a poor casting action.
Most anglers experience wind knots, when using fly rods with long mono leaders.
A poor action is unforgiven, in these circumstances.
I,m not sure where the Cajun Thunder bit came from, unless lightchop was scared by one when he was a baby.
The only person I know who uses a clicker, doesn,t use a CT, or kill trout.
He is also one of my heroes.
