I got a pair of Van Staal VSB 150S reels last year for my birthday, and this one has done nothing but sit. I had planned to save it for my son (currently 4), but tough times force a sale. The reel has never seen line or rod, just sitting on a shelf since new. Not a scratch on it, just a little dust and some residue from WD-40 I will wipe off. The one I have used (heavily!) is really awesome. Used for kings, large reds, tarpon, etc. and recently used for jigging for grouper/snapper. These things hold tons of line, and are one of the best reels you can purchase at any price. The recent introduction of a self-service kit from Van Staal really makes them much more attractive. The kits are ~$90 and come with special wrench and supplies to perform 3 services.
Anyway, these are ~$800 new, and I'm asking $400 firm for this one. I'll take some pics and post later tonight, but this is what it looks like:
