Tagging Fish

Who here has some experience with fishing tags. I am fresh and saltwater fisherman and i want to know if any of yall use them. I want to start using them in my local bass lake and see if;- one i will ever catch my tagged fish again, and two if i can come up with some data about my fish. does anyone know where they sell them and can anyone enlighten me with info of their own.
