After getting skunked at yesterdays NFGFC tourney, I had to catch a fish this weekend. So, Lake Jackson was the best alternative for Sunday.
After church, we headed down to Natural Bridge to watch the Rebels and the Yanks duke it out. The guns and cannons were nice and LOUD!!! The kids loved it, but mom was pooped. So, we headed home and let her nap The weather looked great and the boat was still hooked to the truck, so we headed on over to Sunset. Got launched around 5:00pm and headed to our favorite spot. The first cast into the grass rewarded me with a NICE 13" speckled perch. 2 casts later, a nice 2 lb. bass. Then the pickerel decided to join in. We fished the same spot for about an hour and the bite stayed steady. With the sun setting, we headed on in. Great way to end the weekend with my 2 boys......and my 2 year old little girl went on her first Jackson trip too
