Picture Posting Problem

I'm having trouble posting pictures. I have watched the You Tube tutuorial on positng pics, but I still can't get them to upload. The uploading "times out" before the picture gets uploaded. I have a great internet connection, so I am unsure what the problem may be.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Are the photos too big?

I suppose they could be, can you suggest how I might know if they are and if so, how I might reduce the size? Thanks.

Got it figured out Tom, saving the pics as a jpeg and using a different program allowed me to reduce the size and make the photos work. Thanks. Chris
