Are you referring to the hydraulic helm?
What was I supposed to do today?

I have to assume the helm is leaking. If that's the case you can get the repair kits from Fore and Aft Marine.

Stray Current Corrosion! Teleflex has a whole article about it contact them! Then pray it can be reapaired! My buddy Larry took his in to the teleflex certified repair center in Jax only to have them tell him it was toast. He found a decent deal on a replacement with new helm, but sitll over $ 600 luckly we we the mecahnics on the replacement and were able to save him some money!

The mounting studs are broke and that is what I'm trying to figure out how to get them fixed.

Drill and tapp, but be VERY carefull not to drill to deep "you'll go into the cylinder"!
