4/12 Cobia
Got a chance to hit the beach in search of a cobia today and the conditions were beautiful. I missed a small fish early and then my partner hooked up on a 30 pound fish but he also spit the hook. Saw a nice fish right under the boat a little while later. I casted back to him and he ate my jig, but as I set the hook my line broke at the leader. My buddy threw back to the same fish, hooked up, and the fight was on. Another 40 pound fish came up to the boat and I hung him and the fire drill ensued. Lost my fish at the gaff as he rolled and broke my line, but we did manage to get the bigger fish on board. It was an awesome day and we filled the freezer with cobe steaks!

Can someone say...."lots of grilled cobe"?
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Now THAT'S a COBE! Kudos on bringing it to the boat, much less getting it IN the boat!
