Anybody got advice for a rookie? I'm making my first trip of the year saturday.

I plan on going also on Friday and then on Sat or Sunday. I will fish around Hickory Mound unless I hear something different. I was trying to get a feel for where they seem to be biting the best also. I fished last weekend from rock island to hickory mound with decent results but not great. Hopefully someone will chime in.
