local pond bass'in

Post by DixieReb »

Wife and I went to a friend's pond near Moultrie for a little bass fish'in. We planned to go flats fishing but wind was howl'in pretty bad. Trees were bend'in over when we got there, so I didn't expect much. We fished 2 hours and landed 8 bass, one 4 pounder,3 1-pounders, a 3-pounder, and
about 3 smaller fish we released. We also kept a 2- pounder. Really surprised me with the wind and all, I guess they bit because of the cold front moving in wednesday. They bit worms and a scaled-minnow rebel plug. That is a purty plug ! !

St. Marks

Post by DixieReb »

CS,
I guess we need to go check St. Marks out soon. December is the month it gets good there, but if it stays cold the trout might go up in there early.
Wouldn't hurt to check it out. I'm looking forward to some fish in Aucilla now also.

take care.
