Skipped opening day of duck season and headed out to 80 ft to find a good ripping current, but poor visibility and scarce bait. Slow bite until we found a new spot in 50 ft where they were hungry. Got our 2 man limit of 2 reds and 8 gags by 1pm. Most were in the 25" range with one at 28". Live/dead bait- didn't matter, water temp 65 in the bay, 71 offshore, rising tide all day. Seas 2-3 in the am, dropping to <2 by the pm. Nice day.
