Offshore Panacea 5/13

Went offshore this morning with my dad and buddy but not far because the wind was pushing up some pretty good swells. Buddy of mine and I doubled up on two 30lb cobia but ended up losing one due to breakage and the other wrapped around the buoy cable. One keeper grouper and one that was 21 inches but obviously did not make the grade. Caught a ton of 1-2lb red grouper, grey snapper and rockfish. Buddy got to tie into some good size bonito for entertainment on light tackle. Good times despite being beat up a bit.

Cobes are thick right now. Had a buddy go today and catch a 28" and a 30lber out of Panacea
