Panacea 29-30

Post by newboy »

Well I got a chance to take my parents down this weekend. We pulled out of Mashes Sands saturday and wam (WIND). Headed east 1-2 miles to some grass in about 4 feet of water. We managed 5 nice trout and a few gafftops under poppers on gulp. Mom was all grins as she had the largest at 22 inches. Tried the same general area sunday and she caught a good Bonnet head. Dad and I had a gafftop each. Not great on the numbers but they had fun. Their first "vacation" in six years, if 3 days counts as vacation. oh yeah it was my mothers first trip ever in saltwater, so she really thought it was cool. Wish I could've put them on more fish.

Maybe I can drag them down when the wind isn't so bad!

I think I saw you drifting off the beach on Saturday by the big bald eagles nest. We were on the beach with the two tents and grille just before the water spout ran us off.
Good luck next time! Glad you got your mom out on the salt.
