RB-Good reminder to respect the weather.
I have a good friend who lost his brother a few years ago to a lightning strike at the beach...
The line about men getting struck 75%more often than women makes sense. We are typically a little more stubborn!

I've seen some pretty good lightning in Tampa, but Orlando has the most violent lightning storms I have ever seen.

Down in orlando last week and couldn't believe how violent and frequent the lightning was. Weather dude said it is due to the warm air from the gulf mixing with cooler air from the atlantic over the state.jsuber wrote:I've seen some pretty good lightning in Tampa, but Orlando has the most violent lightning storms I have ever seen.

Are you getting a pontoon or do they make a more conventional type boat also? I like the looks of thier dock system also

Re: Lightening
It's a fiberglass pontoon...the one I'm getting has two pontoons. It seems as though I will be able to go pretty shallow.
The main thing I like is easy clean up. I can tell you after having the Hurricane Deck boat with the vinyl seat cushions etc…this is more rugged and easy to clean. It is also lighter than the Deck boat.
I don't think they do any type of a conventional boat.

Re: Lightening
Thanks for the lightning safety report. My mama wasn't afraid of anything but lightning. It is something to be very careful around. We have all had close calls but when you can smell it....it is too close!
I like the pontoon boat. Looks easy to clean. I ask a fellow what he did to clean his carpet. He was an honest man and told me most of the nasty had to rot.
I know you will love your new boat.
Congratulations! Does it come with a stove or grill? That would be nice! Just fix dinner on the boat!
